Cell-Grown Tree Planting Guide:

Bloomin Forests Cell Grown Tree Planting Guide

Welcome to the Bloomin Forests family! We're delighted that you've chosen our cell-grown trees to enhance your green space. Follow this comprehensive guide to ensure a successful and thriving planting experience.

Choose the Right Tree:
Select a cell-grown tree species that suits your climate, soil type, and available space. Each Bloomin Forests tree comes with specific care instructions, so be sure to review them.

Prepare Your Site:
Ensure the planting site has well-draining soil and receives the appropriate amount of sunlight for the chosen tree species. Remove any competing vegetation and assess the area for potential obstacles.

Planting Process

Inspect the Tree:

Before planting, carefully inspect the tree for any signs of damage or disease. If you notice anything unusual, contact our customer service for assistance.

Dig the Hole:

Dig a hole that is twice as wide as the tree's root ball and just as deep. This extra space encourages the roots to spread easily and establish a strong foundation.

Amend the Soil:

Mix the excavated soil with compost or organic matter to improve nutrient content and drainage. This ensures a healthy start for your new tree.

Remove the Tree from the Container:

Gently remove the cell-grown tree from its container, taking care not to disturb the roots. If the roots appear root-bound, tease them apart slightly to encourage outward growth.

Position the Tree:

Place the tree in the centre of the hole, ensuring that the top of the root ball is level with the ground. Adjust the tree's position as needed.

Backfill the Hole:

Fill the hole with the amended soil, tamping it down gently as you go. Water the tree periodically during this process to eliminate air pockets.

Mulch and Water:

Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the tree, leaving a gap around the trunk to prevent moisture-related issues. Water the tree thoroughly after planting and continue to provide adequate water as needed.

Watering:

Maintain a regular watering schedule, especially during dry spells. Deep, infrequent watering is preferable to shallow, frequent watering.

Fertilisation:

Follow the recommended fertilisation schedule provided for your specific tree species. Avoid over fertilising, as this can harm the tree.

Pruning & Monitoring
Prune as necessary to shape the tree and remove dead or damaged branches.

Keep an eye on the tree's overall health. By following this Bloomin Forests Cell-Grown Tree Planting Guide, you'll be on your way to creating a flourishing and vibrant green space. Thank you for choosing Bloomin Forests – where your garden's success begins with quality and care.
